Caring
for Your Skin
The skin is the largest organ of the body and is
designed for protection - to keep infection out. Our
skin is designed to last our lifetime and, with proper
care, can be healthy and beautiful throughout all of
our years.
As we age, we need to assist this process by using
products that resurface the skin. Exfoliation is one
way to resurface skin that appears dull, thick,
lacking in vibrancy and a natural glow. Skin that is
exfoliated regularly appears bright, luminous, healthy
and vibrant. Daily
Care
On daily basis, skin needs thorough cleansing,
proper moisturization, and sunscreen protection. For
those who desire more beautiful skin, products can be
applied which actually reverse the signs of aging and
protect against future damage. Good skin care is a
twice-daily practice - 4 minutes in the morning, 4
minutes in the evening - a small investment for a
worthy pay-off! Radiant
Skin Every Day
New skin cells form deep within the skin and begin
to rise to the surface. As they form, they are new and
plump and moist and fresh. As they rise, they begin to
die and, once they reach the surface, they die
completely and are sloughed off. When we are young
(like children), this process happens very easily, and
the skin completely renews itself every 7 days. That's
why children's skin is so beautiful! As we age,
particularly as we get beyond the age of 30, this
process begins to slow down and the dead cells do not
slough away as quickly and easily. These dead cells
can build up, causing skin to look much older than it
actually is. This dead layer can thicken and block
moisture and nutrients from getting to the deeper
layers of the skin.
